Barrie DeMolay is taking a break.

At this time, Barrie DeMolay is taking a break. All activities, meetings, membership applications and future events are currently put on hold until further notice. We are unaware if DeMolay Barrie will return as a chapter in the future. We’d like to thank all volunteers, parents, advisors, and of course, our fellow brothers for all the laughs, memories and the opportunity to participate in such a great organization.

We wish you all the best,

Love Barrie Demolay

COVID-19 Updates

At this time, the lodge building where we hold our meetings has stopped all gatherings and events until further notice.

We are still unsure of when we’ll be able to meet again in person. Ontario still has strict rules on gatherings, face masks, social distancing, etc. Our group is still staying online until further notice. Our group will be finding ways to host fun events, volunteer and host fundraisers that can be done online or incorporates proper social distancing and will ensure safety of all participants.

Unfortunately our Ontario Provincial Conclave will most likely be cancelled this year, and may be replaced with an online alternative. More news on that will be posted as we get more info.

On behalf of Barrie Demolay, we hope you and your family stay safe. Please remember to wear your mask, wash/sanitize your hands frequently and keep your distance from people outside tour bubble.

More updates will be posted either here or on a different page in the future as the situation changes.

Still growing strong!

During the extended time of social distancing and hand washing, we’ve been hard at work maintaining our community garden!

The food bank is currently not accepting donations for fresh produce at this time, so we are trying to find other places where we can donate.

Sprouting Season starting!

During our isolation time, our Senior Councillor Jack has been busy at work planting the vegetables for our Barrie Food Bank garden this year.

A new beginning!

Our first tomato plant sprouted this morning. For the other 143 tomato plants, they’re still taking their time, but they’re coming along well. This year marks the third year that we’ve run our garden project for the local Barrie Food Bank, which donates hundreds of pounds of fresh produce to families in need every year.
